THE sun shone down as Greenfield Primary School held their Summer Fair.
There were fun and games including a mini arcade with Xbox games, beat the goalie, hook a duck, and inflatable fun, along with drinks, food and ice-cream.
From unicorns and pigeon races to an unscheduled fly past, Diggle Village School Fete 2018 had just about everything for everyone.
The event on Sam Road, organised by Friends of Diggle School (FODS), was attended by hundreds of youngsters and parents.
They were attracted by numerous stalls and side shows, music from artists including Gwenn Moran, Aleya Mae, Non-SkiLLS and Diggle Brass Band.
A lone vintage plane flew overhead as part of the national Armed Forces Day.
Emily Drake, FODS chairperson, said: “These events do not happen easily. Although we have a committee of dedicated parents, we are always on the lookout for new members.
“We also always need volunteers for every event and without your help these events can’t take place.
“If you wish to join us in any capacity come along to a meeting or email: firstname.lastname@example.org”
The next FODS fundraiser is a 4P Challenge – pub quiz, pizza, prosecco and pints – on Friday, October 5.
