A TOP musical line-up will entertain as the Dobcross Village Community presents their fourth annual ‘Dobcross Concert’ on Saturday, October 25 at Holy Trinity Church at 7.30pm.
This year sees the return by popular demand of the James Shepherd Versatile Brass, one of the top brass ensembles in the UK.
Undoubtedly one of the all-time greats of ‘banding’, James Shepherd needs no introduction to brass band enthusiasts.
The group will perform an eclectic mix of pieces to show off their fine array of soloists in the process.
Top of the bill is Buzz Hawkins and his much-followed and loved ‘Bradshaws’ family.
Anyone who has not had the pleasure of seeing Buzz live in concert is in for a treat as he entertains with humorous stories and songs – and of course family life in the Bradshaw household.
The MC for the evening will be the village’s World Champion whistler David Morris who will perform solos backed by Versatile Brass and may get the occasional joke in too!
Doors open at 7pm and a licensed bar is available. Tickets cost £10 and are available from The Swan and Navigation pubs, Dobcross Post Office and Dobcross Band Club.
