A SADDLEWORTH community group has helped others in the area with vital donations.
The success of this year’s village fete has given people in Scouthead and Austerlands the opportunity.
And members of the committee have decided to benefit a number of causes, with Oldham Mountain Rescue Team receiving £200.
Our Community Wardrobe is being handed the same amount, while £50 is going to Springhead Congregational Church.
Guide Dogs for the Blind is the final charity the Scouthead and Austerlands Community Group (SACG) is donating to, with £50 being given to it too.
The money comes after the Village Fete at Dawson’s Field on Saturday, August 8.
And a spokesperson for SACG said: “A massive thank you goes out to every volunteer, stallholder, and resident who helped make the day such an overwhelming success.”
