WITH MILITARY vehicles, rations and even some 1940s entertainment, war time well and truly returned to Saddleworth last month.
Fortunately, it was for two days only at a special ‘Military Weekend’ hosted by The Church Inn, Uppermill and Saddleworth Brewery.
Locals flocked to the free event to admire the impressive display of military vehicles brought along from far and wide by Home Front re-enactors and enthusiasts.
There was also singing, dancing and music from Katz Korner, Marina Mae and the Backstep Boogie Club, as well as a Hawaiian shirt evening.
