STAFF AND residents have given a warm welcome to new Home Manager Odette Wilson at Millbrook Care Centre.
While Odette is a new face at the village care home in Stalybridge, she is well-known within Meridian Healthcare, having worked for the company for more than ten years and gained a wealth of experience.

She started as a Care Assistant back in 2004 before progressing to become an Acting Senior, Senior, Deputy Manager and eventually Home Manager at Fir Trees in Dukinfield, where she led her team to winning a North West CareAward in 2014.
These achievements are all the more impressive as Odette started her career straight out of school as a secretary and had to give up work altogether to care for her terminally ill father.
It was this experience that inspired her to look into care work after she realised she was passionate about looking after people.
Odette said: “I’m thrilled to have been appointed to take up this exciting role.
“Millbrook is such a beautiful home with a fantastic team and I’m thoroughly looking forward to getting to know all of our residents and members of the local community.
“Meridian Healthcare have been extremely supportive in enabling me to develop my skills and progress through the company and I can’t wait to get started.”
Away from work, Odette, who lives in Denton, is actively involved in a number of community groups including her local Girl Guides and church.
Situated at the heart of Millbrook village, Millbrook provides residential care and support for up to 46 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
Run by award-winning Meridian Healthcare, the home is one of six in the company’s Premiere Collection.
