YOUNG OR old, human or animal… all kinds of readers can’t wait to get their hands on the latest edition of the Saddleworth Independent.

Here, Boris reads – and snoozes on –  a copy at Saddleworth Travel Centre, in St Mary’s Gate in Uppermill.

Debbi Sinfield, who works at the travel agency with Peter Mills, explained: “Boris is a community cat who was found in the bins so we look after him.

“Now he trots around the place as though he owns it! He comes in every afternoon to have a read – and snooze – on the papers.”
