THE DEVIL has donned high heels as a fabulous Faustian musical returns to Oldham Coliseum Theatre for the 25th anniversary of its world premiere.
1970s and 80s musical ‘Hot Stuff’ tells the story of wannanbe rock star Joe Soap who will stop at nothing in his bid for fame and fortune.
He strikes a demonic deal with the devil’s right-hand woman, drag queen Lucy Fur, and ditches his ballroom dancing sweetheart on the dance floor.
Sex and drugs and rock ‘n’ roll – It’s a one-way ticket to hell in this wickedly outrageous ride through the best and worst of the decades.
And the show includes a host of hits such as ‘Blame it on the Boogie’, ‘Nutbush’, ‘Le Freak’, ‘D.I.S.C.O’, ‘Addicted to Love’ and of course ‘Hot Stuff’.

Initially devised as former Coliseum Artistic Director Paul Kerryson’s sequel to ‘Hold Tight! It’s ‘60s Night’, ‘Hot Stuff’ premiered at Oldham Coliseum Theatre in 1990.
With rave reviews, it became an instant cult classic and has since been performed on the West End, national tours and in numerous revivals in Leicester’s Haymarket Theatre.
The show now returns to the Coliseum stage directed by Artistic Director Kevin Shaw, whose directorial credits in musicals at the Coliseum include hits: Chicago, Our Day Out and Dreamers.
‘Hot Stuff’ runs at Oldham Coliseum Theatre from Friday 4 September to Saturday 26 September.
