THE RELAUNCH of a high octane state-of-the art recording studio has given a young artist a golden chance to show off her talents.
Bosses of Sub Pressure studios in Diggle commissioned Laura Bennett, a fine arts degree graduate, to add the finishing touches to their enterprise.

The 24-year-old produced a series of dynamic graphic wall murals to help inspire musicians rehearsing at the venue at Warth Mill.
Chris Pearce, Sub Pressure Studios owner, has worked as a backline and sound technician with Rockman Music, Country Legends, Twisted Wheel and Inspiral Carpets.
He said: “I’m passionate about improving facilities and services to create excellent studios for band rehearsal.
“Laura has large scale art work and decorated the walls with amazing images to give the premises an identity as well as an individual and inspiring atmosphere.
“In the entrance to the Live Room, our rehearsal space, Laura designed and painted an eight-foot mural depicting the studio’s logo with an explosion of music notes.
“It’s painted in white on a black wall and the impact of this image is really powerful and raised fabulous comments from visitors.”

In the downstairs lounge area, Laura painted a humorous image of Lord Kitchener as depicted in the famous recruitment poster – adding bright pink glasses and a reminder to ‘switch the lights off’.
She has also written large scale music quotes by famous musicians on the walls of the contract studios corridor.
Chris added: “I’m really thrilled with her work and I’m sure she’ll have a successful career in the art world.”
Laura, from Dobcross, spent three years at Loughborough University where she received a prize as the student most likely to succeed in business.
She said: “I hope my works will underpin creative aspects of businesses as well as producing more personal paintings and drawings.”
Clint Boom of Inspiral Carpets said: “We love our rehearsal room at SPS in Diggle and wrote our first album there 20 years ago.
“Chris is a key member of our team. I’d recommend any band to check out his studio facilities – they are spot on.”
Sub Pressure Studios offers purpose built, sound proofed studios for monthly rental. There is a 21sq. metre studio and a large 64sq. metre Live Room, which is fully equipped with stage area and quality equipment.
