UPPERMILL FOOTBALL Club’s all conquering under-14’s team has won three pieces of silverware during a treble-winning campaign.
The club lifted the West Riding Trophy, their first-ever victory in the county cup, defeating Northowram Juniors 3-2 in the final with goals from Matt Barlow, Olly Griffiths and Dylan Hey.

They followed this with victory in the final of the Huddersfield Football League Cup after beating Ossett Albion 3-1 in the final, Dylan Fitzgerald, Matt Barlow and Olly Griffiths scoring their goals.
And the grand slam was completed when the under-14’s won the first division title in the Huddersfield Junior League.
The victorious team comprised Dylan Hey, Jake Dunford, Joe Ireland, Olly Griffiths, Joe Ellison, Matt Barlow, Danny McGroarty, Brandon Halliwell, Dylan Fitzgerald, Ewan McFarlane, Max Ramster, Harrison Jackson, Adam Howarth, Bradley Sykes, Joe Lamb and Jon Mitchell.
Meanwhile, Uppermill under-14 girls scored their 100th goal of the season in a 6-0 victory against Denton in the North Manchester Girls’ League, Nicole Thorp scoring a hat trick.
And Uppermill’s first team clinched promotion to the premier division of the FBT Manchester League following a 3-2 win at Chadderton reserves, Joel Longmore (2) and Gerard Forde scoring the goals.
