PROFESSIONAL GRANT Hodnett has written his name into the record books of Moorside Cricket Club.
The 32-year-old South African did so with a score of 206 in the SWB Commercials Saddleworth & District League match at South West Mannchester.

It beat the previous best score of 172 amassed by Sajid Ahmad against Uppermill in 1994.
Hodnett, the former Gloucestershire county player, struck his double century from 141 balls and it included 11 sixes and 18 fours.
Moorside captain Danny Anchor, who was at the wicket with him, said: “It was a superb knock and it was amazing to witness it in the middle with him.
“I think his second hundred came from only 40 balls and it was explosive. Some of his shots were ridiculous – they weren’t just clearing the boundary but also nearby houses.”
Hodnett helped Moorside reach 290 for two before restricting South West Manchester to 125 for six.
It is shaping up to be a successful season for Moorside who are in the thick of the title hunt and also the league’s sole survivors in the Lancashire Cup.
Meanwhile, there have also been some other excellent individual scores.
Saddleworth professional Imran Aslam also hit a double century in a 183-run victory against Austerlands.
Aslam struck 200 not out from 99 deliveries as Saddleworth made 310-5. He then followed that up with five wickets for 29 runs as Austerlands were bowled out for 127.
It was the third double century Aslam had scored in his career, but the first in this country.
And Stayley’s overseas player Oral Rankine scored 184 not out from a total of 310 for two against Micklehurst.
Waqas Khan, also from Stayley, hit 170 out of 355 for nine against Micklehurst.
