FIFTY MEMBERS from Uppermill Bowling Club took part in the traditional May Bank Holiday competition.
It was a three-round mixed pairs event and the winners were Lynn Hallas and Fred Della while Celia Hall and David Holmes were runners-up.
The ‘A’ team women bowlers served a ploughman’s lunch to 85 competitors and spectators after the second round and later cake and tea was served.
The event was organised by Mary and Malcolm Tomlinson and proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the green and clubhouse.
