COMMUNITY-SPIRITED volunteers are invited to get involved with the running of Dobcross’s Whit Friday events.
The Dobcross Whit Friday United Effort’s committee has filled its main positions but there is still an opportunity for people to join in a general role.
The committee said: “We are pleased to say that some new people have come forward to join the Whit Friday committee.
“Our new recruits will be shadowing our current committee members for Whit Friday 2025 so that they will be ready to take over for 2026.
“There are still a couple of roles we need to fill though, and we would love more people to join us as general committee members to help generate new ideas about running the Whit Friday events in Dobcross.”
Their first planning meeting is at 7pm on Wednesday, January 15, upstairs at The Swan and anyone interested in helping out is welcome to come along.
There will be further meetings in March and May before Whit Friday on June 13.
