A HOST of creative scarecrows are lurking around Delph waiting to be spotted.
They are in place as the popular Delph Donkey Scarecrow Trail returns (with a TV and Film theme), this time in aid of the upkeep of Delph Chapel Gardens.
Question sheets cost £3 and are available from the Co-Op, Delph Library, Craft Shop, Post Office, pubs and Cavallo Coffee Box in Castleshaw.
The scarecrows will be on display in homes and businesses throughout the village until June 9.
The fun, spontaneity and wit seems to have gone; in fact they all look more like commercial displays than scarecrows.
I miss the old ones.
