Fairey Band bring magical Christmas concert to Uppermill

DO NOT miss a top class Christmas Concert as the world famous Fairey Band performs at the Civic Hall in Uppermill on Saturday, December 6 at 8pm.

They will play a host of Christmas favourites and there will also be the opportunity for the audience to join in with carols while compere for the night will be Gilbert Symes from Delph.p23 fairey band

The Fairey Band, which was founded in 1937, are current North West Area champions and finished fifth at the National Championships earlier this month at the Royal Albert Hall.

They also have 16 British Open titles to their name and have been National Champions of Great Britain on 9 occasions.

Concert organiser Phil Beckwith said: “The Fairey Band is one of the best brass bands in the country and it promises to be a great night.

“They are a top class brass band and will deliver a top class Christmas concert.”

The Fairey Band will perform at the Civic Hall in Uppermill on Saturday, December 6 at 8pm.

Tickets, which cost £12 (concessions £11) are available from Post Offices in Uppermill, Greenfield, Delph and Diggle, from Saddleworth Museum or by calling Phil Beckwith: 07976 165815.
