AN IMPRESSIVE £665 was raised at a charity fashion show hosted by the Oldham Women’s Trust Fund – bringing their fundraising total so far this year to more than £25,000.
The team of women brought in ‘Fizz’ fashion experts to put on the eye-catching catwalk for around 100 guests as they raised money for The Christie Charity.

After the show, guests could browse and buy from the selection of jeans, leggings, dresses, scarves, handbags, shoes and more – with 10 per cent of sales also going to the charity.
And some lucky visitors also went home with prizes from a raffle, including perfume, wine, flowers, a handbag and hair straighteners.
The Oldham branch of the WTF was founded in the late 1950s and currently has 17 members who meet regularly to plan their fundraising strategy, including theatre nights, coffee morning, fashions shows, lunches and dinners, supermarket collections and donations.
Previously, seven of the dedicated fundraisers braved the rain to complete a circuit of Dovestone Reservoir and raised £672 for the charity.
Over the past five years the ladies have contributed £120,000 to The Christie Appeal and the overall figure for their efforts since their launch exceeds £1m.
