Flourishing In My Shoes Theatre Group seeks Creative Support Volunteers

CREATIVE and dedicated volunteers are invited to join the ranks of In My Shoes Theatre Group as they expand their offering.

The group welcomes young artists aged 18 to 32 years with disabilities and offers acting, exploring scripts, storytelling, movement, performance and creative activities.

Since being launched by Emily Skeldon three years ago, they have flourished and are now looking to recruit a couple of Creative Support Volunteers for their sessions at Springhead Congregational Church.

Artistic director Emily said: “We are looking for creative, dedicated and reliable people to join our team.

“We are looking for a Creative Support Volunteer on a Tuesday evening and from January 2025 we will be launching our additional daytime workshop/rehearsals for our company artists and are looking for Creative Support Volunteers to support this work on a Thursday daytime.”

The Creative Support Volunteers will support artists to explore their ideas and creativity, assist and support artists during rehearsal activities and performance, and advocate the group’s values of a supportive and inclusive environment.

In My Shoes Theatre Group has performed in Saddleworth, including at The Millgate in Delph, and beyond, and also enjoy regular drama and theatre workshops and theatre visits.
