UPPERMILL FOOTBALL Club are holding two weekly training sessions for local children.

Indoor sessions for youngsters aged three to seven will take place in the Saddleworth School Sports Hall on Fridays between 6-7pm during term-time.sport Uppermill football club

And on Saturday mornings sessions will be held for children aged three to five outdoors at the 3G pitch at Saddleworth Pool in Uppermill from 9.30-11am every week.

Organiser Matthew Poulter said: “They are run in order to introduce younger players into football and eventually feed into structured Uppermill FC teams starting at 6 years old.

“Hopefully they will then go on to play football all the way through up to our under-18s team and leading on into our senior teams.”

Friday sessions are run by the Uppermill FC Community Coaching Team and take on a fun approach to playing football, while Saturday sessions focus on balance and coordination coached by the Futsal development team.
