GMP warn public after two burglaries in Saddleworth North in two days

GMP OLDHAM are seeking information and asking the public to be vigilant after two burglaries in the Saddleworth North area in the past two days.

IGMP logon an email to residents they said: “There have been two burglaries in the Saddleworth North area in the past two days.

“Treetops Close, Dobcross – Between 11:00hrs 17/08/16 and 18/08/16 06:30hrs –  unknown offenders smashed one of the rear patio doors of a property and once inside have stolen house and vehicle keys, making off in the victim’s vehicle that was parked in the driveway.

“Delph Lane, Delph – at 17:00hrs on 17/08/16 two offenders forced open the patio doors of a property and gained access, setting off the alarm.

“The offenders entered the hallway and ripped the alarm panel of the wall and then proceeded to conduct an untidy search of the property.

“The offenders were disturbed by a neighbour who had gone to investigate the alarm and made their escape by jumping over neighbouring gardens.”
