BOARSHURST BAND Club in Greenfield again hosts the annual northern stock car reunion on Saturday, March 4 at 8pm.
It is the 24th such event organised by the northern committee of The Veteran’s Stock Car Association and has long been an established part of the sport’s social calendar.
As has been the case in other years, the event is open to drivers past and present, families, friends, mechanics, helpers, supporters and track officials to make each reunion better than the previous one.
And with the reunion advertised from Workington to Stoke-on-Trent and from Blackpool to South Yorkshire, a big turnout is expected.
Most of the sport’s top northern stars have attended at some time and it’s a chance to renew acquaintances and watch some of professional cameraman Ray Liddy’s archive film which goes back to the 1970s, and it’s free to go along to.
Further information can be obtained from Keith Thompson, a former formula one stock car driver and northern committee member.
