Housing Units launches campaign celebrating what makes a house a home

ONE of Oldham’s best-known retailers is celebrating the memories, relationships and everyday moments that turn a house into a home as it approaches eight decades in business.

Housing Units has launched its new autumn Home is a Feeling campaign as the Failsworth-based retailer looks ahead to celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2027.

Founded in 1947, the family-run business says the campaign reflects a belief that while furniture and furnishings help shape a home, it is the experiences shared within it that create a true sense of belonging.

Rather than concentrating solely on products, the campaign uses storytelling to explore the emotional importance of home and the relationships Housing Units has developed with generations of customers.

It also features music from Nashville singer-songwriter Tim Halperin, creating what the company describes as a creative connection between Nashville and Manchester.

Housing Units said Tim’s music was chosen because of its heartfelt style and the storytelling found within his work.

The campaign is being rolled out across television, digital platforms and social media and represents a significant investment in the Housing Units brand ahead of its milestone anniversary.

The company said: “At Housing Units, we have always believed our role goes beyond selling furniture. We create the backdrop to life’s most meaningful moments.

“Because home isn’t just a place. It’s a feeling.”

The launch coincides with the Housing Units Autumn Sale, which is now running in-store and online, with Early Bird Offers available throughout the event while stocks last.
