FAIRY MAGIC is coming to thrill children across Saddleworth in a unique experience this winter for four days only…
Because Denshaw-based photographer Gillian Devine is bringing out sparkling dust, elves and foxes and more for a magical photoshoot.
“The Fairy Experience definitely brings the fairies to life through our very own children,” says Gillian, “and it’s all thanks to Anita Mason our very own Fairy Queen.”
Anita evolved the idea around 18 years ago after being inspired by Cicely Mary Barker’s ‘Flower Fairies’ books which she loved as a child.
She set about designing and creating her very own fairy land set, hand-painting backgrounds, creating costumes and gathering an eye-catching array of props.
Now, working with Anita, Gillian hosts The Fairy Experience twice a year to create fairy-tale images of your children – aged 0 to 14 – that you can treasure forever.
Gillian, who has been running a busy photography studio for nearly ten years, said: “The children love dressing up in the costumes and interacting with the animals, fairy bridge and pot full of fairy dust.
“They have a wonderful experience and many mums and dads end up in tears seeing their little ones dressed up in this magical setting.”
The special photographs are retouched to enhanced the magical effect – and some parents just can not resist showing them off the others.
“I couldn’t believe how emotional myself and my husband felt at seeing our gorgeous girls dressed as fairies and enjoying the Fairy Experience. It was wonderful!” said Stacey from Uppermill.
“We will be using our photographs for all of our Christmas presents… the grandparents are going to love them!”
The Fairy Experience is running for four days only from Thursday, October 29 to Sunday, November 1 and it’s just £20 to book your appointment.
Photos can be bought in packages from CDs to luxury prints. A proportion of money will be donated to a children’s charity.
And if you enter a winning fairy or elf photo into the Fairy Experience competition, you could win a prize worth £500.
