A kind-hearted Uppermill restaurant is serving up a mouth-watering meal for 25 supporters of Dr Kershaw’s to help raise money and awareness of the charity.
Rob Norbury and his team at Muse Bar & Eatery on the village High Street are generously donating the meal for a selected group of business people involved with the hospice.
He will host the dinner on Tuesday, September 26 to thank the group for their hard work and support.
Dr Kershaw’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults with non-curable, life-limiting illnesses in a peaceful and homely environment.
Rob said: “Dr Kershaw’s do a fantastic job supporting the patients at the hospice in their final stages of life.
“They also work tirelessly to help the families during these sad times so at Muse we wanted to reward them and I’m grateful to be in a position to do this.
“We’re anticipating a wonderful evening and will be raising a glass to all their hard work.”
As well as the dinner donation, Muse is also sponsoring Dr Kershaw’s take on Strictly Come Dancing, ‘Strictly Kershaw’s’, on October 20 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham.
Rob and his kitchen team will be cooking up a storm for the fundraising charity event by providing all the food for the evening.
Alison Taylor, the community fundraiser from Dr Kershaw’s, said: “We are over the moon with the support Muse are giving us.
“We rely on donations from the public and our sponsors to keep the hospice running and Rob has gone above and beyond to help us with this.
“All our guests are looking forward to enjoying an evening at Muse and the ticket holders for Strictly Kershaw’s are in for a culinary treat I’m sure!”
