Residents invited to join Oldham Council meeting from comfort of their own homes

Oldham Council is again asking residents to join in the next Full Council meeting from the comfort of their own homes.

The meeting on Wednesday, October 22 will be streamed live at www.oldham.gov.uk from 6pm.Oldham Council logo

Previous interactive question times have been a success and are designed to make decision-making more open and transparent – bringing public meetings into the digital age.

The live internet streaming allows residents to watch the entire meeting live from laptops, tablets and other digital devices and it will also be broadcast live on Oldham Community Radio (99.7fm).

As part of the arrangements Full Council starts with a 20-minute ‘Open Council’ session that enables members of the public to put questions directly to Cabinet members.

Residents can take part in a variety of ways and submit their questions via Social Media networks Facebook and Twitter, or email. Questions must be submitted before 6pm on October 22 and will be asked at the meeting on a first-come, first-served basis.

To submit questions before the deadline send an email to localdemocracy@oldham.gov.uk, visit www.facebook.com/loveoldham or Tweet your question direct to @OldhamQT
