Festive fun fills Lees

FROM elves hiding in businesses’ windows to gifts and goodies galore at a three-day festive market, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Lees. The Elf Hunt returns for a second year following a successful debut in 2018 and will see the sneaky elves hiding in businesses around Lees and Springhead.

Hunt them down to be in with a chance of winning great prizes. Simply collect an entry from participating schools or businesses and then find the elves around the villages.

Return all forms to Lees Co-op Elf Box and all entries go into a prize draw.

The Elf Hunt will run from 4pm on Friday, November 29 to 4pm on Sunday, December 15 and has been organised by LSG Business Hub.

Over the weekend, Santa will be at the markets in his grotto, there will be lots of stalls to browse and buy festive treats, food, drink and much more.

And don’t miss the S. Thomas’ Leesfield Harvest Queen Christmas Tree Festival at St Thomas’ Church on Saturday, December 7.

Businesses, parishioners, friends of the church and others have sponsored a tree for £10 to create an eye-catching collection.

The church will be open to public to visit the beautifully decorated trees between 12.30pm-4pm.
There will also be workshops including decorating gingerbread men, making reindeer food and making cards.
