WITH THE party season just around the corner we all want to look our very best so here’s a few tips to help in the next few weeks.
Eat well – don’t be tempted to skip breakfast, you’ll be less likely to snack on high calorie things later.
Avoid the sugar trap, you could already be having several teaspoons of sugar in things you consider healthy like cereal and fruit juice so keep an eye out for those hidden granules in many processed foods.
Keep a check on your portions – you don’t have to clear the plate. Try a low carb or vegetarian day, swap regular pasta and rice for a wholemeal version and do some batch cooking for those busy weeks ahead.
Drink plenty of water (at least 8 glasses a day) as it will help your skin and make your eyes sparkle!
Move more– doing simple toning exercises can really change your shape and can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Work your butt with some squats, tone your thighs with some leg lunges, simple waist twists and sit ups can help your waist and stomach, chair sit ups can tone upper arms and don’t forget to get your daily steps in.
